As TV series based on comic book superheroes are on the rise (mainly in streaming services), I decided to create this project after the (sad) cancellation of multiple Marvel series on Netflix, in this particular case,
Luke Cage.
Given that the said series may possibly return within Disney + when the show's rights return to Marvel, the possibility that the hero will be played by another actor on the new display platform gave me the idea of imagining Terry Crews (better known for his role as Julius in Everybody Hates Chris) embodied in the character.
Como as séries de TV baseadas em super-heróis de quadrinhos estão em ascensão (principalmente em serviços de streaming), decidi criar este projeto após o (triste) cancelamento de várias séries da Marvel na Netflix, neste caso específico, Luke Cage.
Dado que a dita série pode possivelmente retornar dentro do Disney+ quando os direitos de exibição da mesma retornem para a Marvel, a possibilidade de que o herói seja interpretado por outro ator na nova plataforma de exibição me deu a ideia de imaginar Terry Crews (mais conhecido por seu papel como Julius em Todo Mundo Odeia o Chris) encarnado no personagem.

In order to realize the idea, I had to search for several images of Terry Crews from different angles in order to match the promotional images of Mike Colter incarnating the hero. However, it is also necessary to say that some of the chosen images had to be merged with each other, so that the result of the final art would reach the perspective that I really wanted. In the end, I decided to choose four of them to be used.
A fim de realizar a ideia, tive de buscar várias imagens de Terry Crews em diferentes ângulos a fim de condizerem com as imagens promocionais de Mike Colter encarnando o herói. Não obstante, também é deveras necessário dizer que algumas das imagens escolhidas tiveram que ser mescladas entre si com as originais, de modo que assim, o resultado da arte final alcançasse a perspectiva que eu realmente queria. No fim, acabei decidindo escolher quatro delas para serem usadas.

Art development
Once I selected the images to have the ideal references, the development of the arts started. However, the process of each image was not linear, but to give a better understanding, I left here some stages of the evolution of the arts through which I modified the quality such as contrast, lighting and overlap in general, finally arriving at different versions until reaching a result near the end.
Uma vez que eu selecionei as imagens para ter as referencias ideais, o desenvolvimento das artes foi iniciado. Todavia, o processo de cada imagem não foi linear, mas para dar um melhor entendimento, deixei aqui algumas etapas da evolução das artes pelas quais modifiquei a qualidade como o contraste, iluminação e sobreposição de modo geral, chegando por fim a diferentes versões ate alcançar um resultado próximo ao final.
